Red won Sunday 5-3 after the teams entered Sunday tied for the second straight year. Red has won three of the last four years as Captain Jimmy Gurney hoisted the cup. Matches were close. Nearly all matches went to 17 or 18 and there were no pastings. For the second year in a row, but only the fourth time in 27 years, there were no halved matches. Matt Haas and Bob Walters both went 3-0.
Jimmy Gurney was fortunate to be left handed after this very wayward teeshot off of one, but he would recover to play well and captain his team to the cup.
