Red defended the Concord Cup 16 1/2 to 7 1/2 by dominating the Saturday rounds, winning 4 1/2 points in FourBall and 5 out of the 6 Foursomes matches.
Captain Matt Haas, Paul Morgan, and Jon DeAngelis all went 3-0.
An extraordinary number of matches went to the 18th hole, nearly matching the record set in 2018. Ten of the twenty four matches reached eighteen, including four of the Saturday morning matches, two of the Foursomes, and four of the Pairs matches.
Red is closing the gap, only down five in the overall series, and its recent dominance in team play now gives it nine of the ten best teams, including Jon DeAngelis and Paul Morgan at 6-0.
