This hole takes its name with distinction. At least twice in the history of the Concord Cup have groups surrendered this hole to their opponents without leaving the teeing area. This long, demanding three shot par 5 sets up for some excitement on the tee. The tee shot requires an accurate strike through an opening not much wider than the teebox itself. Navigating the first 50 yards (hazards on both sides) of this hole has proven to be challenging in past years. A right to left tee ball is preferable, but we won't split hairs (or fairways).

This green has not been reached in two shots in the Cup's history, so an accurate lay up with a long iron is critical. A large tree located short and right of the hole has grabbed many approach shots and left a flop pitch shot.

The green, similar to number eleven is well guarded by mounds on all sides. Also sloping from back to front, players want no part of a downhill putt, even from three feet. This may be the toughest putting surface on the course because this green gets the least sunlight and is usually bare in many areas, a par will suit all comers. Deserves the number one handicap rating for its demand for both length and accuracy.
