4th Hole

Par 4

Difficulty Ranking: 5

A longish, dead straight par four which requires accuracy to set up a mid- to low-iron approach. Accuracy is much more critical than length here as the baby pines lining the right side have grown into a formidable presence. Down the left side, the Concord service road can provide both bad and good breaks, potentially kicking tee shots out of bounds.

The defining characteristic of this hole is the two-tiered green which has had many a player take bogey after two solid shots. Club selection is very important and leaving the ball below the hole is a must.

This hole gathers its name from the vending area on the left side of the hole where most players would be advised to walk. Many an errant tee shot from the 5th tee (we’ve all bailed right) have come close to impaling players. Likewise, errant tee shots from this hole have made their way toward the 5th green. Those are the breaks of having 24 amateurs in a confined area.
